Gentle Hatha Yoga

This class is a great choice for people that are new to yoga, haven’t been active for a while or just want a slower pace of yoga. Hatha translates as ha meaning “sun” and tha meaning “moon.” Hatha practice refers to the opening of the many channels in the body, enabling a pathway for energy to flow freely and create a balance in the masculine (ha) and feminine (tha) aspects in us all.

Each class focuses on a physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. There are many benefits from this type of yoga:

  • Breathing (pranayama), relaxation and meditation techniques will be shared that will help alleviate stress and anxiety.
  • Gentle postures (asana) will be talked through and demonstrated, making it easy to follow, whilst building on strength, balance, and flexibility.
  • The physical element of this practice also helps stimulate the lymph systems, aiding the body’s ability to fight infections.
